Trio of players sign for Finn Harps
Finn Harps have completed the signings of three more players as they
continue to build their squad ahead of the new season.
The signings of Jason Noctor, Thomas Bonner and Johnny Lafferty brings to ten the number of players who have already signed up ahead of the 2010 season.
Noctor, a right-back, arrives at Finn Park from Sligo Rovers. He made just five appearances for the bit ‘o red during the 2009 season. The 20-year-old made his Rovers debut in a 4-1League Cup victory over new club Harps at the Showgrounds. Killybegs native, Noctor played his junior football with St. Catherine’s FC where he was a member of the team that won the Donegal Premier League title in 2006. Noctor played with Harps’ Youth team two years ago before spending a year at the Showgrounds.
24-year-old Thomas Bonner joins Harps for his second spell at the club having signed from Irish League side Institute. The former Wolverhampton Wanderers player originally played half a dozen games for Harps in the Premier Division in 2005.
Johnny Lafferty, 23, is a promising attacking player who arrives at Harps from Glebe United in the Fermanagh and Western League in Northern Ireland. Lafferty can play in midfield or up front. The highly rated player was capped at under-17 level for Northern Ireland and had attracted interest at that time from clubs cross channel.
