Doolin departs Leeside

Paul Doolin has left Cork City FC, resigning from his position as manager of the club this afternoon.
Doolin had led Cork to third place in the Premier Division this season, battling against the odds with a depleted squad.
He came in for some heavy stick from the Rebel Army though, as many believed his style of football wasn’t up to the attacking standard expected on Leeside.
His relationship with Tom Coughlan became weaker and weaker throughout the campaign too, as the clubs now infamous owner became a hated figure locally.
Rumours are now afloat that Doolin will become the new boss of St Pat’s.
The club confirmed his departure, releasing a statement which said, "it has been agreed that Mr Doolin will be leaving his position as manager of the first team."
Cork's general manager, Liam Meaney added: “We are very grateful to Paul Doolin for his contribution to the club. The 2009 season was a difficult one however Paul, his players and his backroom staff performed excellently to secure qualification for the Europa League. On behalf of everyone at Cork City Football Club, I would like to wish Paul the best of luck for the future.”
Meanwhile, the clubs official award-winning website has been pulled by it's webmaster after Coughlan failed to pay monies owed.
