Chris Turner returns to Sligo
The 2009 season has yet to finish for Sligo Rovers, but they are the first Premier Division club to announce a significant signing for next year's challenge, with the news that Chris Turner has signed a two-year contract to rejoin the Bit O'Red.
With 12 league goals to his name and a place on the PFAI Team of the Year, Turner was one of the success stories of Sean Connor's reign at Oriel Park, but becomes the second player to depart the Lilywhites since Connor's resignation after news of Mickey Collins' exit.
Turner previously starred for the Cup finalists between January 2006 and July 2007, before following Connor, who signed him three times, to Dalymount Park for a spell with Bohemians. Still only 22 years of age, Turner will be ineligible for the FAI Cup final.
