Standout derbies set for FAI Cup second round
The draw has been made for the second round of the FAI Cup with cup holders Dundalk drawn at home to non-league St. Mochta’s.
There are a couple of cracking derby ties amongst the eight games. Bohemians will host Shamrock Rovers which is the standout tie of this round and Finn Harps will play Derry City in Finn Park.
16 teams entered the draw – eight Premier Division clubs, four from the First Division and four non-league teams.
First Division side Cork City, who dumped Sligo Rovers out of the cup last weekend, have been rewarded with a home draw against St. Patrick’s Athletic who currently sit second in the Premier Division. Tallaght team Kilnamanagh will travel to Waterford.
All second round fixtures are set to take place on the week ending Sunday, August 29th.
