Extratime.com staff predictions - First Division 2021
Well, what’s the term they coin for the First Division every year? The most competitive etc.. But you know what, this may actually be the case in 2021.
I’m conscious of keeping you all waiting for this – but going by our predictions last season, hopefully we won’t be too far off again.
Last season we correctly predicted three of the four sides that made the Playoffs – while we also correctly called where the title would end up – and that was at Drogheda.
In terms of the 2021 season, while many have found it hard to call – it seems that the Extratime.com staff don’t think it is hard to call in terms of a title winner.
John Caulfield’s Tribesmen are our searing hot title favourites, followed by Shelbourne in second.
Cork City, Bray Wanderers and UCD fill up the rest of the playoff spots while Cabinteely have been tipped just to miss out on the playoffs again.
We also expect Athlone Town to make further inroads towards the upper half of the table, albeit not too many.
Cobh Ramblers, Wexford and Treaty make up the bottom three despite a positive 2020 had at St Colman’s Park.
But anyway, back to the point of this article – here is our predictions in for the 2021 First Division season.
