Bohemians have produced a video ahead of their return to action profiling captain Keith Buckley in the flats on Pearse Street where he grew up.
The video on ‘Bucko’ features Markiewicz House and a voiceover from his ma saying “that’s my son Keith, off playing football – that’s all he does every day.”
A south inner-city boy playing for the north side of Dublin city “is a hero to other kids that have pushed to have the same dream.”
Mama Buckley concludes: “His dream was to be a footballer and I’m so proud he’s achieved what he set out to do.”
Keith and Bohemians kick off their season with a trip to Finn Harps on Saturday (kick-off 6pm).
