Troy Parrott joins Ipswich on loan
Ipswich Town have announced the signing of Troy Parrott on loan for the remainder of the 2020/21 season.
The 18-year-old joins from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur having been recalled from his loan spell at Championship outfit Millwall.
The Dubliner left Spurs to join the Lions on a season long loan deal in the summer, but was hampered by an ankle injury in September.
He subsequently failed to find the net in 14 appearances at the Den.
Parrott, who has won two caps for the Republic of Ireland will wear the number 40 shirt for Ipswich as they look to mount a promotion push from League One.
The Tractor Boys currently lie 11th four points outside the playoff places in the club’s second consecutive season in the third tier.
“I’m really happy to be here,” Parrott told iFollow Ipswich.
“I love a challenge and I want to be part of something. I’m excited to get going and I want to score some goals for this club.”
He added: “I will work hard for the team and I’m ready to play. I played last weekend so I’m feeling good in terms of match sharpness and I can’t wait to get started.”
