Bohs snap up in demand Bastien Hery
Bohemians have announced the signing of midfielder Bastien Héry from Linfield.
The 28-year-old began his career at Paris Saint Germain and has been capped by France at under 18 level.
The Frenchman enjoyed five years in England including spells with Rochdale and Carlisle United.
He won promotion to Sky Bet League One while at Rochdale as well as catching the eye for Carlisle in a 1-1 draw at Anfield against Liverpool in the League Cup in 2015. Héry assisted the equalising goal and missed the decisive penalty in the shootout that eliminated Carlisle.
Qualifying through his Grandmother, Héry has earned three caps for Madagascar.
The midfielder starred for Limerick in 2017 and Waterford in 2018 and 2019 before helping Linfield win the NIFL Premiership last season.
Speaking to the Bohs’ media team, manager Keith Long welcomed the experience Héry will bring to Dalymount Park.
“Bastien is a high quality player with great experience, ability and personality.”
“We are a young team and I believe these are some of the attributes we need to help us progress.”
