Jordan Flores snapped up by Hull City
Hull City have confirmed the signing of midfielder Jordan Flores from Dundalk.
The 25-year-old becomes the club’s first signing of the January transfer window.
The midfielder has signed an 18 month deal at the KCOM Stadium, with the option of a further year.
The former Wigan man joins the Tigers having won a League of Ireland title, one FAI Cup, a League Cup, a President’s Cup and one Unite the Union Champions Cup, during his two seasons with Dundalk.
Flores scored seven goals in 41 appearances for the Lilywhites and was nominated for the Puskas Award following his audacious left-footed volley against Shamrock Rovers in February 2020. He also netted against Arsenal in this seasons Europa League Group Stage.
Throughout his career Flores has always been capable of the spectacular. During his time with hometown club Wigan Athletic he won the Latics’ goal of the season award in 2015/16, his first career goal.
Hull City currently lie 2nd in League One trailing pace-setters Lincoln City by four points with a game in hand.
Speaking to Hull City’s media team Head Coach Grant McCann said the club brought Flores in for “his creativity and he’s quite versatile in the way he plays."
“We’re really pleased, Jordan will bring good balance to the team, being left footed.
“He can score a screamer and shoot from distance with his left and right foot. He can open up things and see passes” he noted.
