Colin Healy appointed Cork City Head Coach
Cork City have announced the appointment of Colin Healy as First Team Head Coach with John Cotter as his assistant.
The former Irish international will take up the role immediately as City look to navigate their way out of the First Division.
Healy, who had been in interim charge with the Leesiders since the departure of Neale Fenn in October, could not save the club from relegation from the Premier Division last season.
Healy made 150 appearances across two spells as a player with City. He was also the club’s Head of Academy for the past three seasons.
Speaking to his club’s media team Healy said he was “thrilled to get this deal done” and that he expected the club to be competitive next season.
Having been Head of Academy, Healy brings a lot of experience in working with young players. Club Chairman Declan Carey is looking forward to what the future holds.
“We’re excited to see what he can do with a talented bunch of young players for the next season,” said Carey.
