Georgie Kelly secures move to Bohemians
Georgie Kelly has signed for Bohemians ahead of the 2021 season, it was announced this afternoon.
Kelly spent the second half of last season on loan at St Patrick's Athletic from his parent club Dundalk.
The striker originally began his career at Derry back in 2015, but it was his spell at UCD that really secured him some admirers when in three seasons he manage to notch up 37 goals in his 68 appearances for the Students.
Then Dundalk manager Stephen Kenny soon came calling and despite extremly limited minutes, Kelly would go on to score 14 times in 48 appearances for the Lilywhites.
Manager Keith Long, who has only recently signed a new four year deal, was delighted and excited to have secured his man.
“At 24, Georgie comes to us at a good age with good experience and a hunger to improve.
“His profile is ideal for us and we are looking forward to working with Georgie and looking forward to the potential he brings to the club.
“We are working hard to bring players to the club to strengthen the team but we have to be patient to ensure we get the right players in with the right attributes and character.”
The addition brings the number of players signed up at Dalymount Park for next season to 15.
