In Pictures: Drogheda United win the First Division
Drogheda United clinched a record fifth First Division league title on Tuesday evening with a 2-0 win away to Cabinteely.
Drogheda claimed the First Division trophy in front of our camera man Al Robinson who was front and centre to capture the best of the images. You can view the full gallery here. We also had Larry McQuillan on photography duty making sure we missed none of the action and you can view his gallery here.
Our reporter Andrew Dempsey was in the press box/Cabinteely bar for this one and he sent us in a match report shortly after the full time whistle. You can read that here.
Andrew also spoke with Hugh Douglas, Pat Devlin and Drogheda Assistant boss Kevin Doherty after the game.
Spoke to @DroghedaUnited assistant boss Kevin Doherty last night after his side returned to the top-flight after a three-year spell in the First Division - “I think that hurt from the last two years helped us" #LOIhttps://t.co/vO1a4J9MGc
