Dublin derby to be shown on TG4
The top of the table League of Ireland Premier Division clash between Shamrock Rovers and Bohemians will be broadcast live on TG4 on Friday, October 2nd. With only one point currently separating the Dublin rivals at the top of the table, this derby match will have a huge impact on the final destination of the Premier Division title.
The eagerly-anticipated meeting of these old rivals will be the ninth League of Ireland match broadcast live on TG4 this season. Following the Dublin derby, TG4 will broadcast two further matches – the first and second legs of the promotion / relegation play-offs on November 13th and 16th. This Friday (September 25th), TG4 will broadcast live coverage of the St. Patrick’s Athletic v Cork City Premier Division fixture from Richmond Park (kick-off 7.45pm).
The October 2nd match at the Tallaght Stadium will bring to 26 the number of domestic matches broadcast live this season, a figure that will rise to 35 by the end of the 2009 season.
