Cabo sign Jack Connolly and Steven Kinsella
First Division league leaders Cabinteely have announced the signing of former Sunderland midfielder Jack Connolly.
The 20-year-old joined Sunderland in 2016, going on to play for the Black Cats’ U18 and U23 sides.
Connolly made 20 appearances in total in Premier League 2 for Sunderland, including seven last season before leaving the club in June of this year.
The midfielder also featured for John Sheridan’s Waterford in a 1-0 friendly defeat against Bray Wanderers at the RSC in July.
He now joins Pat Devlin’s Cabinteely, who recently signed striker Robert Dunne, also a former Sunderland academy player.
Cabinteely are currently unbeaten at the top of the First Division, with five wins and a draw from their opening six games.
Next up for Devlin’s side is a top of the table clash away to second placed Longford Town at Bishopsgate on Monday.
Cabo have also signed midfielder Steven Kinsella, who has also played with Dundalk, St Pat’s and Everton.
