Second Waterford player to be COVID-19 tested due to symptoms
On Tuesday evening the FAI confirmed that a second Waterford FC player is to undergo a COVID-19 test after reporting suspected coronavirus symptoms to his club this morning.
This comes the day after the first Waterford player reported COVID-19 symptoms – this caused the postponement of Tuesday’s Sligo Rovers v Waterford match.
Neither of the players were involved with the first team for their game against Shelbourne in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division last Saturday.
The club will continue to suspend their activities until the result of tests on both players is known.
