Northern Ireland under-19 manager Stephen Frail leaves to take up Dundee United position
Nothern Ireland are on the lookout for a new under-19s and under-17s manager following the departure of Stephen Frail from the association.
Frail, who held both managerial posts, leaves to take up the role of assistant manager at Dundee United, who won promotion to the top tier in April after the SPFL season was curtailed due to Covid-19.
After learning of Frail’s departure, Northern Ireland senior men’s manager Ian Baraclough praised Frail for his work within the Northern Irish setup.
“I’m delighted for Stephen to get this opportunity,” said the former Sligo Rovers and Motherwell boss.
“He has been a real asset for the development of our underage groups and the association as a whole.
“He joined on my first trip as the under-21s manager to Estonia and was a huge help to me during that period.
“He has been an asset from day one and we wish him every success in this new and exciting role.”
The IFA have announced that the search for Frail’s replacement will begin in due course.
