Bray Wanderers -v- Longford Town
Bray Wanderers host Longford Town in Tuesday night's FAI Ford Cup quarter-final replay after the sides drew 0-0 on Saturday night. Kick-off is at 7.45pm.
Wanderers will be without the services of Paul Byrne, who remains injured. There are doubts over the fitness of Gary McCabe and Derek Foran but no decision will be made until tomorrow evening.
Seagulls boss Eddie Gormley was proud of his side's performance in the match: "It was a very good performance on Saturday night but we didn't take our chances and, if we had, it would have been a different game. We have it all to do again on Tuesday and, if we can give a similar performance, we will give ourselves a good chance of progressing to the semi-finals."
Prior to Saturday’s draw against Bray Wanderers, Longford manager Gareth Cronin was highly critical of his team’s recent performances stating they “looked lethargic” and that they were “just going through the motions”. The draw at home against Premier Division opposition may have improved his opinion of the team but they will now face a tough challenge to get a result away from home.
Extratime.ie prediction: 2-0. Home advantage will probably steer this one in Bray's favour tomorrow night as there was nothing to separate the two sides three days earlier.
