Sligo Rovers announce plans for season ticket holders to attend games
With the League of Ireland restart getting closer by the day, Sligo Rovers have now announced plans to cater for their season ticket holders when games return to the Showgrounds in the August.
If the Government goes ahead with the phase 4 relaxation of restrictions, up to 500 people will be allowed to gather for outdoor events. This number will include teams, management, organisers, media as well as anyone else in the ground so it will not mean that 500 spectators can be present.
However, clubs are hoping that they will be able to accommodate a certain number of their most loyal fans with the Bit o’Red outlining a random allocation system for their season ticket holders. Fans that get to see the first game will then be put to the back of the pile for future games and so on as to ensure that everyone gets a fair number of fixtures.
In a statement the club have said that “supporters will be contacted at least a week in advance of the fixture” to see if they still wish to attend.
The club also announced that any season ticket holders who are not able to attend a select game will have access to a streaming pass that the club will make available to them free of charge.
They have asked that any season ticket holder wishing to put their name in the hat for a ticket to fill out the form here.
