Draw made for FAI Cup First Round - including 13 byes
The draw was made for the First Round of the FAI Cup on Monday lunchtime with 13 clubs getting a favourable draw - receiving byes straight into the Second Round.
Due to the shortened season, the FAI Cup will be played without non-league clubs, only SSE Airtricity League teams will participate in this season's competition.
All 19 clubs went into the draw – as per the plan at the start of the season Shamrock Rovers II will not have a team in the competition - and the first 13 clubs drawn got a first round bye.
The clubs who received a bye into the second round were Derry City, Cabinteely, Shelbourne, Bray Wanderers, Sligo Rovers, Wexford FC, Shamrock Rovers, Athlone Town, UCD, Galway United, Cobh Ramblers, Bohemians and Drogheda.
The three First Round fixtures are:
Finn Harps v St. Patrick’s Athletic
Dundalk v Waterford
