Bangor appoint Lee Feeney as new first-team manager
Bluefin Sport Intermediate Premier side Bangor FC have appointed Lee Feeney as their new first-team manager.
Feeney takes charge of the Co. Down outfit who currently occupy 4th place in the third-tier of Northern Irish football.
“I’m very proud to get the job at Bangor and I’m looking forward to the difficult challenge ahead,” the club’s new manager said on his appointment.
“My first objective is to get the club promoted back to the Championship. But I’m distinctly aware that the Premier Intermediate League is tough, and the team will need to fight for every point in order to make promotion a reality.
“I would like to thank the board for their belief in me and I’m highly motivated to ensure we all succeed at Bangor.”
And Bangor FC Director of Football Graham Bailie added: “Lee’s appointment is an exciting prospect for the Seasiders.
“He is young, driven and determined, which are all necessary attributes to help us gain promotion to the Championship and beyond.
"I am pleased to offer this opportunity to Lee, especially as he is a former Bangor player. He is ambitious and shares the vision we have at the club.
“I look forward to seeing how he will drive the football club forward and get the best out of our tight-knit and talented set of players.”
The club have also confirmed that John Douglas will take up the role as assistant manager.
