Limerick -v- Mervue United
Limerick FC welcome Mervue United to Jackman Park for the second time this season on Friday evening (Kick-off 7:45pm) with both sides in very inconsistent form in recent weeks.
The last time these two sides met at Jackman Park, Limerick handed Mervue United a harsh League Of Ireland lesson when they thrashed them 4-1 in March.
Limerick lost to promotion hopefuls U.C.D last week while Mervue picked up all three points against Athlone Town at Terryland Park last weekend.
Pat Scully’s side have been extremely inconsistent so far this season and have used 39 players in there first team so far this season.
Pat Scully recently signed a new two year contract with Limerick and he believes the future is bright for Limerick FC. Pat Scully’s side have failed to keep a clean sheet in five games now since drawing nil-all away to Kildare County back in July.
Limerick FC will host this game without the services of Paul Cummins, and captain Pat Purcell remains doubtful after an ongoing hamstring problem left him unavailable against U.C.D.
Mervue will welcome David O’ Dowd back to the squad but have no injury worries to deal with for Friday’s game.
Extratime.ie Prediction: Limerick to bounce back from the defeat in U.C.D with a 2-1 win.
