Extratime.ie staff predictions - First Division 2020

The 2020 League of Ireland First Division prepares to kick off on Friday evening, and as a result we had our writers and photographers make their predictions on how the season may go.

The less said about our 2019 predictions the better… But, if you would like a bit of a laugh to see how far off the mark we were you can have a look at it here.

Have we wrote off Cabinteely once again?  – Maybe, but it appears our writers have backed Drogheda United to lift the title.

Longford Town and Bray Wanderers come in at a close 2nd and 3rd respectively, while surprisingly, Galway United are in 4th despite their off-season business.

In a real toss up between both Cabinteely and UCD, our team have backed Cabo to secure the final play-off position.

Shamrock Rovers II and Cobh Ramblers fill up 7th and 8th position, while we predict that perennial basement battlers Athlone Town and Wexford will occupy the final two positions.
