Roddy and Boyle sign for Harps
Finn Harps Manager, James Gallagher, has added two new faces to his squad for the remainder of the season. Both will be familiar faces to the Harps support, as both defender Sean Roddy and goalkeeper Michael Boyle, have played with the club in the past few seasons.
Sean Roddy is a former member of the Derry City under-21 side and arrived at Finn Park at the start of the 2007 season. He was a member of the squad for the promotion-winning season of 2007, but left the club midway through the 2008 Premier Division campaign to join Irish league side Institute. He made 36 appearances during his first spell at the club, five of them as a substitute. Roddy was an unused substitute in Friday’s 2-0 victory over Kildare County at Station Road.
Michael Boyle was a member the Finn Harps squad during their Premier Division campaign of the 2005 season and made his debut for the club in Felix Healy’s last game in charge against Longford Town on 23rd July 2005. His only other appearance came as a substitute for Gavin Cullen in the last match of the same season, a 4-2 home defeat against Bray Wanderers. Michael has been a member of the Donegal GAA panel for the past number of season, and was their goalkeeper for this year’s run to the All-Ireland Quarter-Finals.
