Saturday Previews Round-up

Saturday evening sees the focus switch to the League of Ireland First Division and the Setanta Sports Cup. Three games are down for decision in the league. Longford Town welcome Monaghan United to Flancare Park whilst in the west, Mervue United host Athlone Town. The clash of the night however is in the southeast as Waterford United and Sporting Fingal lock horns as they both attempt to take advantage of Shelbourne’s defeat to Wexford Youths on Friday.

The Setanta Sports Cup begins after a delayed start due to the sponsors own financial situation. Due to St. Patrick’s Athletics European exploits, their game has been delayed. In the other games, Bohemians travel to Glentoran for the televised clash at 5.30pm. Later on in the evening, Cork City welcome Cliftonville to Turners Cross. Kick off there is 7pm.
