Cobh re-sign James McSweeney for 2020
Cobh Ramblers have announced that defender James McSweeney has re-signed ahead of the 2020 season.
McSweeney first joined Cobh Ramblers at underage level in 2016, having previously played for Cork City U17's in 2016.
The 20-year-old progressed through the underage system at Cobh, making his senior debut in the Munster Senior Cup against Limerick in 2017.
His league debut came in a 1-1 draw in the opening game of the 2017 season at home to Wexford.
McSweeney scored twice in 2017, with both goals coming in 2-1 and 2-0 away victories over Wexford, in April and July respectively.
A Republic of Ireland U18 international, the 2017 Cobh Young Player of the Year has now made 75 appearances at senior level for the club.
