Gary Cronin to stay on as Bray Wanderers boss until 2021
First Division Bray Wanderers have confirmed that manager Gary Cronin will remain at the Quinsborough Road venue until 2021.
The former Longford Town assistant boss took over the reins of the Seagulls in 2018, before he led his side to a 5th placed First Division finish in 2019.
Cronin has since had to rebuild the Co. Wicklow side after a disastrous 2018 – with 2019 ultimately ending in disappointment.
Just missing out on the Playoffs, the Seagulls went close securing a late playoff position – but they were eventually pipped to the finish line by local rivals Cabinteely.
“I’m really looking forward to building on the foundations that we laid down last season,” Cronin told his club’s media team after signing a new deal with the club.
“I’m delighted to be part of this club’s transformation and to lead the first team for the next couple of seasons.”
Seagulls chairman Niall O’Driscoll added; “We are delighted to secure Gary’s future here at the club.
“He has shown great qualities as a manager so far during his tenure and we are in safe hands with him at the helm.
“Gary has played a huge role in helping to rebuild this club over the past 18 months and he is working hard to evolve again going into next season as we look to challenge for promotion.
“We can now look forward with great anticipation to the 2020 season with plenty more positive announcements to come in the next few weeks.”
