Shamrock Rovers’ manager Michael O’Neill has been named by extratime.ie as our Premier Division Manager of the Month after his side went unbeaten in July. The Hoops began the month impressively with two away wins against St. Patrick’s Athletic and Bray Wanderers, before defeating Sligo Rovers in Tolka Park. The only dropped points of the month came away to Bohemians, where they earned an important 0-0 draw. O’Neill will be presented with the award prior to the Rovers Cup game in Tallaght Stadium next Saturday.

Bohemians’ midfielder Gary Deegan has picked up the extratime.ie Premier Division Player of the Month award for his impressive performances at the heart of the Gypsies team. His solid showings with his fellow midfield partner Paul Keegan has helped see his side maintain their place at the top of the Premier Division.

Sporting Fingal’s promotion hopes may have been dented in July with losses to Finn Harps and Shels, but for captain and talismanic midfielder Conan Byrne, July was an impressive month, as he picks up the First Division Player of the Month of July. Despite a missed penalty against Shelbourne, Conan has scored six goals from midfield this month as well as registering solid performances throughout the month.
