FAI Cup First Round draw in full
Macdara Ferris reports from the Aviva Stadium
The draw for the first round of the FAI Cup took place in the Aviva Stadium on Monday evening.
32 teams entered the competition at this stage including a dozen non-league teams. All these clubs will be whittled down to the two teams that will play in the final in the Aviva on Sunday 3 November.
The holders Dundalk were drawn away to Cobh Ramblers while there is just the one all Premier Division tie with record FAI Cup winners Shamrock Rovers set to play at home to Finn Harps.
The Midlands derby between Longford Town and Athlone Town is the only all First Division tie.
There is an eye-catching Dublin derby set for Dalymount Park where Bohemians will play Shelbourne. While Cork City will have to travel to Cabinteely, Bray Wanderers face St. Patrick's Athletic in Inchicore.
At the very least three non-league teams will reach the second round as there are three all non-league ties with Lucan United playing Killester Donnycarney, Crumlin United v Malahide United and St. Michael's from Tipperary will play Glengad United.
The draw was made by Republic of Ireland under-21 manager Stephen Kenny and Garrett Brennan who is the editor of the new competition sponsor Extra.ie.
