Waterford United -v- Finn Harps

Despite all the bad news from Cork at present, the football doesn’t stop and on Tuesday night Waterford United welcome Finn Harps (again) in a re-fixed match at the RSC in the League of Ireland First Division (kick-off 19:45).

The game was originally postponed because of a waterlogged pitch due to inclement weather. Finn Harps had already arrived in Waterford only to have to make the long journey home again.

In April, Waterford travelled to Ballybofey and defeated the Donegal side by three goals to one. In recent games, Harps have been improving, notching a win over Sporting Fingal and drawing with UCD however last weekend, they were outclassed and outplayed by Wexford Youths.

Waterford come into this game with a home win over Limerick after a disappointing 0-0 draw against Monaghan the week previous. Manager Stephen Henderson has no injury worries and no suspensions and will be able to field his strongest possible side.

Finn Harps manager James Gallagher will be without Sean Houston, Conor Gethins and Johnny Havlin although Gethins is back in training and could feature in the next couple of weeks. Christy Connaghan is again a doubt, but Michael Funston returns to the panel after a two match suspension.

The game will kick off at 19:45.
