Tallaght Stadium to host final as six League of Ireland venues confirmed for UEFA U17 Euros in May
Tallaght Stadium will host the final of the UEFA Under-17 Championships as six League of Ireland grounds were announced as hosts.
The home of Shamrock Rovers will host the final on Sunday, May 19th, while Colin O’Brien’s side will find out their opponents at the draw on April 4th.
The tournament, which gets underway on May 3rd, will be played throughout four counties in seven different venues with 16 teams involved.
The venues that will host the tournament are, in Dublin, Shamrock Rovers’ Tallaght Stadium, Shelbourne’s Tolka Park and the UCD Bowl.
Schoolboy club Home Farm will also host games at Whitehall Stadium, which recently put on Stephen Kenny’s first game as Ireland under-21 boss.
City Calling Stadium in Longford, Bray Wanderer’s Carlisle Grounds and Waterford’s Regional Sports Centre will also host games.
Tallaght recently reached a capacity of 8,000 following the opening of a new third stand at the South Dublin venue.
