Gormley delighted with Bray victory
Speaking after his 2-1 win away to Drogheda, Bray manager Eddie Gormley said it will make for an interesting few months now that they are right back in the fight for survival along with Drogheda and Sligo.
Speaking about the second strike by Gary McCabe Gormley said “it was a stunning strike, he does that every week in training, just thankfully he could do it tonight.
People are saying things are going bad, but to be honest it’s just results that are going bad our performances are good and we just needed a slice of luck which we got with the first goal tonight. Then the second goal was a great strike, disappointing to concede a penalty just before half time though.
The back four were fantastic in the second half, they all won their headers and we put bodies on the line, like Rovers did to us last week. I think they were doing somersaults out of Bray, we deserved something from that game that we didn’t get, but we got it tonight,” the very pleased manager said.
