Bohemians will join the under-17 Women's National League in 2019
Bohemians will enter a team into the 2019 under-17 Women’s National League.
The league, which will begin in March of next year, will feature 12 teams with clubs from the SSE Airtricity League entering side alongisde Women’s National League regulars Peamount United and UCD Waves, while there is also room for the likes of Donegal League and Greystones United.
Shortly after the announcement, Bohemians secretary Stephen Lambert admitted the club’s delight at being able to enter the competition.
"Bohemian FC are delighted to be included in next year's Under-17 Women's National League. Everyone at Bohemians realises the importance of having a fully inclusive club. We have a very vibrant girls academy with several younger underage teams.
"Our aim is to grow the number of girls and ladies members in the club and eventually compete in the Women's National League."
Teams to compete in the 2019 Under 17 Women’s National League: Athlone Town, Bohemian FC, Cork City, Donegal League, Galway WFC, Greystones United, Limerick, Peamount United, Shelbourne, Sligo Rovers, Waves, Wexford Youths.
