Euro competitors learn their fate

The draws for the Champions Path of the UEFA Champions League Third Qualifying Round was completed on Friday afternoon, and Irish champions Bohemians were in the pot. Having earned a 1-1 draw away to Salzburg on Wednesday, should they progress past the Austrian Champions they will face the winners of FC Pyunik of Armenia versus NK Dinamo Zagreb of Croatia. That tie currently stands at 0-0 as Dinamo welcome the Armenians to Zagreb.

Meanwhile both Derry City and St. Patrick’s Athletic have learned their fate should they qualify for the next round of the UEFA Europa League Third Qualifying Round. The Saints will have to travel to Russia to take on PFC Krylya Sovetov Samara. Krylia currently lie 6th in the Russian Premier Liga, the position they finished in for the 2008 season.

Derry City will be facing PFC CSKA Sofia of Bulgaria if they can see past the Skonto Riga. Derry are 1-1 after the away leg in Latvia.

The dates for the Europa League Third Qualifying round are set for 30 July and 6 August. The Champions League games will be played on the 28/29 July and 4/5 August.
