St Pat's v Valletta Matchtracker
Europa League:
FULL TIME: St Patrick's Athletic 1 - 1 Valletta FC - Lineups
FULL TIME: Skonto Riga 1 - 1 Derry City
Well, another reasonably successful night for Irish clubs in Europe is at an end. Derry City will certainly be travelling back home in good spirits after they secured a 1-1 draw in Riga, although St Pat's will likely be kicking themselves after they conceded an away goal. Nevertheless, both sides will still fancy their chances of progressing to the next stage. Many thanks for tuning in to tonight's updates. From me, Graeme McQueen, good night.
21.35... Game over. Pat's have followed in the footsteps of Bohemians and Derry by grabbing a 1-1 draw in Europe. However, manager Jeff Kenna is unlikely to be over-enamoured by the result, particularly as his side conceded an away goal. They will travel to Malta with it still all to do. Pat's will have to score in Malta if they are to progress.
21.33... Chance at the other end, but it's also wasted as Gibert Agius overhits it and the ball runs out of play. He may have a good name, but Den Ouden is subbed, with Edmond Agius coming on.
span style="color:purple;">21.31.... The third qualifying round of the Champions League and the Europa Cup takes place tomorrow in Nyon at 12.00 CET (Champions League) and 13.30 CET (Europa Cup). Extratime will bring you the news for the Irish teams as soon as we get it.
21.29... The Pat's fans roar their side on as they are awarded a free kick on the edge of the area. Unfortunately, Cawley mishits it and the chance is gone. Not long left for Pat's to find a winner.
21.25... Just over ten minutes left at Richmond. Can Pat's grab a precious winner to take to Malta? Valletta are also eyeing a second away goal though, and Geert Den Ouden (these names just get better and better!) has just wasted a great chance from edge of box. He had loads of time to steady himself and advance towards Rogers, but he opted to shoot and blazed the ball over the bar. Falkirk have won 1-0 by the way.
21.19... Alan Cawley is just inches too high with a deft chip from 30 yards. Valletta are making a change with Ian Zammit coming on for Dyson Falzon. What fantastic names.
21.15... Saints 'keeper Rogers saves well from a Briifa first-time volley on 74 minutes.
21.12... Ryan has just drawn a fine save from the Valletta 'keeper, but it's the Maltese side who look the more likely to grab a second goal. Pat's have made a change with Bobby Ryan off, Glenn Fitzpatrick on after 72 minutes.
21.06... GOAL VALLETTA!!!!! Gilbert Agius is the man who has got it for the Maltese side on 65 minutes. After some calm play in the box from Den Ouden, he pulled ball back for captain Agius to slide home from seven yards.
21.03... Action at both ends. A nervous moment for the hosts as Priso's shot deflects wide off Partridge. At the other end, O'Connor has a thunderbolt blocked from just inside the box.
21.01....Question of the hour: Should RTE show all European games featuring Irish sides or do you agree with the fact they didn't show them?
20.59...Update from our reporter Eoin Manning: "Valetta showing slightly more enterprise upon the restart and giant target man Gijsbertus den Ouden was unlucky to see his powerful effort fly over."
20.57...On 54 minutes, O'Connor nearly slipped O'Brien in down the left, but Valletta's Dimech got across just in time. At the other end, Priso is again looking dangerous on the right for the Maltese side.
20:54.... Seven or so second half minutes gone at Richmond and it's a pretty slow beginning to the second period. Very little to report.
20.53... Away from Irish shores, there are a few other games of note taking place tonight. Over in Scotland, Falkirk are also in Europa Cup qualifying action against Vaduz. With just over an hour played, the SPL side lead 1-0.
20.47...Second half underway at Richmond, no changes at the break for either side.

20.33...HALF TIME at Richmond and Pat's manager Jeff Kenna will be a happy man as his side go in one goal to the good at the break. Ryan Guy almost made it 2-0 just before the half time whistle but his shot from 25 yards sailed over. So far, so good for the Inchicore side though.
20.29....Valletta's Cameroonian forward Njongo Priso has picked up a yellow card.
20.24....GOAL PAT'S!! Declan O'Brien after 38 minutes. Stephen Maher went raiding down the right hand side and his cross was deflected away from goal as he lost his footing on the wet surface. However, debutant Declan O'Brien, who had been very quiet up until that point, pounced like the predator he is to slide the ball home.
20.23....Update from our reporter Eoin Manning at Richmond: "The Valletta goalkeeper is taking an eternity over every goal kick which is annoying the home support. One or two off the ball incidents to keep an eye on too. The Valletta players are tidy footballers, but it seems they are only here to frustrate. The game has gone very flat, Valetta's tactics are obviously working, but it has killed the game as a spectacle."
20.16...Still scoreless at Richmond Park, but Pat's were perhaps a tad fortunate not to be reduced to ten men on 32 minutes when Jamie Harris looked to have hit Priso with a sly elbow. Luckily for him, the ref didn't spot it - according to our reporter at the game, if he had he would have been off.
20.04...Bobby Ryan just fizzed a shot wide for Pat's on 16 minutes, before Byrne goes even closer for Pat's, cutting in from the right before letting fly with his shot deflecting off the wrong side of the post.
19.59....
Ambitious effort from Gilbert Agius on 14 minutes. Tried to catch Rogers off his line from his own half, but the Pat's 'keeper was alert to the danger and easily plucked it from the air. I'm told the rain is easing slightly.
19.52....St Pat's have made a lively start to the game. The opening minutes saw Ryan Guy make a dangerous run down the right but the Maltese 'keeper did well to cut out he danger. Seconds later, the 'keeper was again alert to save a Partridge header.
19.48...5forkeeps has left a comment saying 'Great result for Derry'. It certainly is 5forkeeps. After Bohs great result in Salzburg last night this is shaping up to be a very good week for Irish football. Can St Pat's make it an even better one? Their game against Valletta is underway and according to our other reporter at a very rainy Richmond Road tonight: "Pat's are defending the shed end. The Inchicore crowd are in full voice!
19.38....FULL-TIME SCORE: Skonto Riga 1-1 Derry City Game over in Riga and Derry City fans are sure to be a happy bunch, because they're side have secured a score draw away to Skonto Riga. Stephen Kenny's men will surely fancy their chances in the return leg, especially with that precious away goal.
