Bohemians to face Dundalk in Cup

FAI Cup holders Bohemians will face former manager Sean Connor after being drawn against Dundalk in the Fourth Round draw held today, while last years runners-up, Derry City will make the relatively short trip to the Sligo Showgrounds in the only all Premier Division ties of the draw.

With eight Premier Division teams, six First Division teams, and two non-league sides, there was plenty of scope for potential mismatches and those hoping for an upset will no doubt be watching events in Bray and Monaghan with interest. Eddie Gormley's side are currently in free-fall in the Premier Division and certainly won't relish the challenge of the A-League Championship's Tralee Dynamos, while Monaghan will fancy their chances a St. Patrick's Athletic side consistent only in the their inconsistency. The only all First Division match up saw Athlone Town pulled out of the pot just ahead of Dublin side Sporting Fingal.

Elsewhere, UCD, currently flying high in the First Division will be given a taste of what could be in store next season when they travel to Tallaght for their game against Shamrock Rovers, Crumlin United will welcome twice winners Waterford United and Longford will make the journey west to face Ian Foster's Galway United, who lost in a tight semi-final last season.

Ties will be played the weekend of 14 August.
