21:39.... Full Time at Morton Stadium and it was all to comfortable for Fingal in the end. No prizes for guessing who was man of the match. Birthday boy Conan Byrne hit a hat trick as Monaghan simply had no answer. Shaun Williams also got on the scoresheet but its set up nicely for next weeks North Dublin derby between Shels and Fingal

In Mervue, Fans getting pic taken in front of the scoreboard, and they get a round of applause of the team as they come out for warm down.

21:31.... Pats sub, Andy Haran for Noel Haverty, 88mins. There maybe a story here off the pitch as Fingal have used all their subs and left Eamon Zayed on the bench. Watch this space

Byrne turns from scorer to provider as his inswinging cross from the right is met by Shaun Williams on 85 mins

21:23.... Bray have returned to the dressing rooms as the match is delayed for 10 minutes. Gardai and stewarts are all standing at a point on the pitch. Seems like the fans celebrating damaged the wall or something and the game is now held up.

21:22.... GOAL SPORTING FINGAL - Conan Byrne - 74 mins
A quiet amazing goal in Morton Stadium. Started from a long free kick from the Monaghan keeper on the edge of his box. It was won by Philip Byrne and the ball fell to Conan Byrne. The winger spotted McGann still back peddling to his goal and showed great vision and to spot the gap and even better technique as his half volley found the back of the net from 40 yards. Stunning!

21:13.... GOAL SPORTING FINGAL - Conan Byrne - 69 mins

21:13.... GOAL SHAMROCK ROVERS - Gary Twigg - 68 mins
Shamrock Rovers reclaim the lead after minutes. Twigg scores after O'Connor dropped the ball.

21:12.... Fingal will move above UCD on goal difference if stays as is. In Inchicore, It's end to end stuff now as Pat's press for an equaliser. Frost with a throw in which found Gary O’Neill’s feet. The striker turned brilliantly to work half a yard of space and fired in a low cross into the box which Conan Byrne prodded in. That’s the wingers eight league goal so far this season.

21:06.... UCD bring on Bolger for Ward. Yellow card for Shane Robinson for Shamrock Rovers on 59 minutes. Ryan Guy goes achingly close to the equaliser for Pats, scorching one past the right post after wrong-footing Shane Guthrie and making a run to the top of the box.

21:05.... Half time over at Oriel Park and Glen Crowe's 15th minute strike is enough to send Fenlon's side into the dressing room in the lead. Dundalk have increasingly had to rely on Alex Williams as their sole attacking outlet following Daly's straight red card but even with the numerical advantage, Bohemians have failed to create much of note in a scrappy game. that's Crowes 150th league goal.

21:04.... Almost a freak goal for Fingal when Monaghan defender Gartland smacked a clearance against Shane McFaul. The ball hit against the midfielder and looped onto the crossbar with the Monaghan keeper a helpless spectator.

21:02.... It's 2 goals in 2 minutes for Galway United with a sensational long distance strike by Sean Kelly. The midfielder, in his first game back after a long injury break, took the shot from around 25 yards after Jay O'Shea back passed it and drilled it into the top left corner of goal.

21:02.... GOAL FOR KILDARE - Dean Barrett - 57 mins

P Hughes booked before a Kildare free, which is blocked but Issaka gets a cross back in from right which is deflected up in air and is glanced past Ryan Griffin by the chest of Dean Barrett after bouncing off the turf. Strange goal, but they all count

20:47.... Half time in Dundalk, whilst the rest restart except Derry. And I HAVE TEA!!

20:47.... Rovers in 2nd as it stands. Baker's 5th league goal as well. The last Hoops player outside Twigg/Baker to score was S Robinson in Sligo on May 9th...695 minutes at half time. (in the league). Stats sponsored by Alan Dooley.

20:44.... Finn was sent off in UCD for apperantly punching Cassidy after the Shels man got the ball. Punched him with a fore arm / elbow.

Emmet, Drogs follower, emailed in: Your memory serves you well Grasshopper both QPR & Luton had plastic pitches, the one at Luton was woeful with a mile high bounce despite having the equivalent of Laytown strand dumped on it. I think Preston had one for a while but I might have dreamt that. Here's hoping that the mighty Drogs keep their run going. Sheffields finest (that's Wednesday not the bacon flavoured neighbours) have completed the signing of Darren Potter on a 3 year deal today, will we see Trap gracing the south stand at Hillsbro'??

Julie Ann, Monaghan fan (atic) emailed in: Oi, leave our jersey alone, its gorgeous and matches the corner flags beautifully! Now that is colour co-ordination! What started as an exciting game here has gone a little dull at the mo but here's hoping it livens up again.

20:38.... Whilst half time is progressing in most stadia, be sure and enter our competition for to win two tickets to the Shelbourne -v- Millwall match in Tolka Park on Tuesday. You can enter by clicking here. Good luck!!!

20:34.... Half time in Morton Stadium and you wonder how long it will be until Eamon Zayed is introduced. Fingal haven't been awful but they do lack a cutting edge in the final third. Frost is delivering some great crosses and Zayed's aerial ability would add a different dimension to their attack but Monaghan have been competitive and will take heart from the first 45

20:33.... Half time in Inchicore, Bray, UCD, Mervue, Limerick and Fingal. Scrappy, stuttering game at Oriel, not much to report since that sending off

20:32.... As if to rub it in my face, Grace Uhr tells me she has the fanciest takeaway tea cups she's ever seen by the way. All insulated and soft. Fair play to the Richmond Park press box refreshment staff! I remain parched.

20:30.... Galway Utd have only got one point from 11 games(v Derry away) where they have gone behind. Not looking good. My need for a cup of tea is reaching epic proportions. The prawn crackers have only managed to make me even more thirsty. Life is cruel.

20:27.... Shamrock Rovers Goal - Dessie Baker - 42 minutes
Dessie Baker set himself up and volleyed from the edge of the box. Stunning goal.

20:27.... St Pats Goal - Ryan Guy - 42 minutes
Pat's go one nil up against Galway!!! Pat's goal! An excellent overlap and cross saw Ryan Guy rise higher than anyone to head in off the crossbar past Barry Ryan's despairing dive

20:27.... Enda Stevens and Jamie Harris both going close in the dying stages of the first half for Pats. They deserve a goal before first time, but Galway are clinging on. In Fingal, Best chance for the hosts so far as Gary O’Neill finds himself bearing down on goal ready to pull the trigger. Monaghan defender Gartland did brilliantly however to make up the yards and put in a tackle before the striker could get his shot away.

20:24.... Shamrock Rovers now have a chance. Shane Robinson laid the ball off to Gary Twigg who sidefooted down the middle from 18 yards but it was straight at the keeper. 39 minutes gone in Terryland and a chance for Mervue...long throw from Gaffney, flicked on by Goldbey, Tierney pokes wide from five yards.

20:23.... That is Dundalk's 7th red card this season, not including Connor's. In Bray, Cahnce for Bray as a free is driven through the wall by Dave Webster. Murphy is down to it though. 29 minutes.

20:22.... First chance for the hosts in a long time at Morton Stadium...Conan Byrne picked the ball up on the corner of the box. The winger showed great vision to spot the run of the incoming Shane McFaul. The midfielder controlled his shot well but McGann got down to make the save

20:21.... Michael McGrath on target for Galway there from the top of the box, but it's an easy save for Rogers.

20:20.... Alan Dooley - Gaffney, a Tuam native, has now scored in consecutive home games for Mervue. Crowe's 3rd league goal

20:20.... Yellow card for Pats' Stephen Maher on 31mins for tackle on Sean Kelly.

20:17.... Bohemians Goal - Glen Crowe - 13 minutes
Bohs are one nil up afetr a tap in from Glen Crowe -high ball played into area, Bennion could only palm it away and Jason Byrne reacted first to reach the ball on the touchline, and pass it across the box for Crowe to tap in from a yard out. And now Michael Daly is RED CARDED for Dundalk after a rash challenge. Two footed tackle on Killian Brennan

20:14.... Ciaran Duffy in Derry said he has never seen traffic so bad in the city this evening. Let's hope everything is a-ok.

20:12.... Mervue Goal - Rory Gaffney - 25 minutes
Mervue 1 up....lovely ball up line by Nicky Curran for Dave Goldbey, who crossed low. Tierney hit first time and was blocked, seemed to be handled, but Rory Gaffney played on and drilled to net from tight enough angle

20:12.... Shelbourne Goal - Mark O'Brien - 26 minutes
Shelbourne take the lead

20:10.... A header from Pats' David Partridge goes just over the bar from a corner before Darragh Ryan has a shot from long distance which also flies over the top. Pats looking dangerous here.

20:09.... Limerick Goal - Brian O'Callaghan - 24 minutes
Limerick are after doubling their lead with a Shane Tracey penalty on 24 minutes. All happening in Limerick..

20:08.... Yellow card for Galway's Shane Guthrie on 22nd minute

20:08.... Pretty poor so far in Bray. Rovers playing the better football. Rovers have a new purple jersey. Most exciting thing to report on the game to date.

20:06.... Mervue improving but recent signings Christy Doran and Philly Hughes still threatening for Kildare.

20:06.... Sub for Bray - Jake Kelly is on for Paul Byrne after 20 minutes. Appears to have received a knock.

20:04.... In reply to Frank below, my third cup of tea is still pending. The games came faster than the kettle boiled. I need minions. Minions that make good tea.Instead, I am resorting to eating half stale prawn crackers. Luxury in Extratime HQ.

20:03.... The Derry game was delayed 10 minutes due to a bomb scare on the bridge. Meanwhile great chance for Galway, their first proper shot of the game as Rogers just tips David Cooke's strike over the bar.

19:59.... Mervue a bit sloppy on a greasy surface....The game is almost underway in Oriel Park. Madden starts for Bohs tonight.

19:56.... Limerick Goal - Brian O'Callaghan - 10 minutes
Limerick draw first blood of the night with a goal from Brian O'Callaghan

19:56.... Illustrious start for Pats, they've had all the early momentum and Ryan Guy had a great chance there but put it into the side netting.

19:54.... I'm promised stats from Alan Dooley. If it's a stat on LOI, he's got it. Our very own Jimmy McGee he is. In Morton Stadium, Fingal have started very brightly especially their left back John Frost. He has had two great deliveries into the box but Gary O Neill and Conan Byrne couldn't make decent connections to them. Monaghan also with an eraly change Lynch off for Hannaphy

19:54.... Kildare hit the inside of the post. Philly Hughes squares for Barrett, who scuffs but tees it up perfectly for David Jackson, who hits a sweet shot from ten yards off inside of post and away.....Kildare have started well. O'Riordan booked as well

19:50.... Pat Fenlon is complaining about the plastic pitch in Dundalk. Plastic pitches, what grounds had them. QPR did. Who else. Did Luton have one too?

19:48.... Mervue attendance is in the region of 80 to 100 right now. Two Falkirk scouts in Inchicore to watch Galway Utd's Garry Breen. Pat's attendance seems like it's mainly scouts???

19:47.... Game on in Fingal, Inchicore, Terryland, Limerick and Bray. Monaghan's jersey could be seen by a blind man its that bright.

19:45....Paul Moore: Bit of team news Eamon Zayed dropped for Fingal. He's their top scorer this season so Liam Buckley must know something we don't.

19:44.... Salzburg's assistant manager is in the Dundalk crowd. Derry game appears to be delayed. Teams are out on the pitches in most of the games now.

19:43.... I'm informed that there are Scouts from West Ham, Charlton, Peterborough, Derby and Falkirk here to watch Jay O'Shea in Richmond Park.....just as well, crowd is poor! Poor crowds seem the order of the day. Limerick match squads, Sporting Fingal line-ups in.

19:33.... Bray and Shamrock Rovers teams in. Patrick Kavanagh is NOT in the Bray lineup. He has apparently signed a pre contract with Rovers for next season, and maybe this is the reason behind his absence?

19:28.... Moving onto my third cup of tea, I'm eyeing up a trip to a Leeds United friendly game in Tolka Park on Tuesday.

19:24.... Shelbourne and UCD line-ups are in. Teamwork is in full flow in Pat's as Eoin adds the Saints and Grace adds Galway. The rest of the grounds, well we are awaiting the teamsheets.

19:16.... Our first attendance watch figure is in. 30 minutes before the kick off in Mervue and there are 13 in Terryland.

19:00.... A quick run around the games and who is covering them. Finbarr O'Sullivan is in Bray. Ciaran Duffy is in Derry. Eoin Manning and Grace Uhr are watching St. Pats. Limerick is being attended by David Byrne. Mervue United has the pleasure of Alan Dooley's attendance. Sporting Fingal is manned as always by Paul Moore. UCD sees the first outing for Extratime of Frank Young, whilst Dundalk is getting the full attention of Martin Nicholas. Gareth Penrose (that's me) will be updating you here and that is the team for tonight.

18:58.... Kildare just getting started their warm up now. They have a lot of those black and white footballs people may remember from the World Cup in Argentina in 1978. I personally don't remember them having been born a year later.

18:51.... Alan Dooley is our reporter in Terryland, and he thinks "Kildare have a squeak of a chance but Mervue were missing quite a few over last few weeks, some of whom have returned tonight."

18:47.... As the Oxegen revellers rock away in the Kildare drizzle, I wonder if the crowds tonight will be impacted. For your thoughts on Oxegen, tonight's matches or anything else, email me on extratimelive@gmail.com

18:15.... Whilst we wait for the first games to kick off, be sure and enter our competition for to win two tickets to the Shelbourne -v- Millwall match in Tolka Park on Tuesday. You can enter by clicking here. Good luck!!!

17:35.... Welcome League of Ireland fans, betting fans, and casual lurkers to this evening's live update coverage of the eight games taking place in the Premier and First division.
