Six games confirmed for live TV coverage
RTÉ and eir Sport have committed to airing six League of Ireland game between now and the end of April.
Four games will be broadcast by RTÉ and eir Sport will continue with their coverage showing two further games over the next six weeks.
Terrestrial coverage will begin at the RSC as newly promoted Waterford host Shamrock Rovers on Friday week.
Seven days later the RTÉ cameras will roll into the new look Brandywell in what will be the television debut for the redeveloped stadium. On the night Derry City will host Liam Buckley’s St.Patrick’s Athletic.
RTÉ will also show the eagerly anticipated Dundalk-Shamrock Rovers game in mid-April before taking their cameras to Turners Cross for the always eagerly contested Cork City v Dundalk clash on April 27th.
eir Sport will continue their coverage of League of Ireland football on Friday April 13th in Tallaght as Shamrock Rovers welcome rival Bohemians for a big Dublin derby.
Staying in the capital, their cameras will be at Dalymount Park a week later for the meeting of Bohemians and champions Cork City.
