FAI CUP THIRD ROUND REPLAY:
Sligo Rovers 2-1 Cork City EXTRATIME - Lineups
Drogheda United 0-3 Shamrock Rovers FULL TIME - Lineups
Monaghan United 4-0 Cherry Orchard - Lineups

Well drama at the end of the night, which seen two out of the three games see the home team progress to the next round. Earlier in the night, Shamrock Rovers put three past Drogheda United in United Park. Monaghan United ended any further hopes of Cherry Orchard with a 4-0 defeat over the LSL side. And Sligo Rovers came back from 1-0 down to force Extra time and in the 107th minute scored the winner over Cork City. This draws an end to our updates tonight. Tomorrow sees the last of the Cup games as Wexford travel to Longford. From all the Extratime crew, good night.

2214: SLIGO ROVERS KNOCK CORK CITY OUT OF THE CUP!!!!

2213: Everyone on their feet now. Almost over....Cook is pushing the air......

2212: CORKS HEALY HEADER OFF BAR IN LAST MINUTE

2210: Three minutes left now and the Sligo crowd are getting behind the team

2209: Sligo are minutes away now!!!!

2205: GOAL FOR SLIGO - ........Cretaro....smallest man on the pitch.....leaps high to head in a Sean Doherty cross from the right. Crowd in full voice now

2205: Such a roar has never been heard in the Sligo press box

2204: SAVED BY BRUSH!!! Murphy took it!!!

2203: PENALTY FOR CORK 111 minutes!!!! Brush took down O'Connor

2201: Monaghan and Shamrock Rovers have progressed to the next round after tonight's games. Who will be next , Cork or Sligo? Well in the Showgrounds now the crowd are in full voice.

2158: The second period starts and Brush saves again from Silagailis in first minute

2156: Cork up to six bookings now and it's half time!!

2155: Coming to the end of the first period of extra time and we have had very little to report on so far.

2151: If the game goes to penalties, we will update the scores on our Matchzone page.

2150: The Sligo crowd try to get behind the team but there is not an awful lot to shout about, or update on.

2145: Yellow card for Tim Kiely. That's the fourth of game. Three for Cork and one for Sligo

2143: So the first half of extratime is ticking on now. Five minutes in....Cork had a free in dangerous position but pushing given against Dan Murray.

2139: I have to say it: It's Extratime on Extratime. As Mousk in the Comment s below, yes I am delighted for another 30 minutes of updating. First half of Extratime underway.

2136: GAME OVER IN DROGHEDA.

Time for Extratime in Sligo and we will be with it all the way. Last five minutes was exciting...crowd got into it....hopefully will stay the same for extra time.

2135: Silagailis shot in first minute of injury time....saved by Brush onto bar and over....Brush claims corner well

2132: One minute plus injury time in Sligo as we head for Extratime. Purcell off to a standing ovation from Rovers fans to be replaced by Dan Cowan

2131: GOAL FOR SHAMROCK ROVERS- 88 mins - Tadgh Purcell
Route one football from Murphy in the Rovers goal. A long ball down found Purcell unmarked and marginally onside and he volleys easily passed Skinner. Dessie Baker named Man of the Match.

2128: Gavin Whelan is replaced by Mark Salmon

2126: GOAL FOR SHAMROCK ROVERS- 83 mins - Tadgh Purcell
Game over for Drogheda now....two nil to Shamrock Rovers. A pass from Sean O'Connor to Purcell and wide on the right Purcell strokes the ball passed Skinner

2125: ..... Morrison shoots inches wide...

2124: Free in dangerous position for Sligo.......

2121: Former Drog Shane Robinson has been brought on for Gary Twigg

2117: The 2nd half in Drogheda finally sparks into life as Drogheda are a little more creative in their attack. Osborne is a speed merchant down the left.

2114: In Sligo, even enough....Danny Murphy just had the first shot in anger of the second half.....great save from Brush.......double subs from Cork as well and O'Halloran and O'Grady have both been booked.

In Drogheda, Eoghan Osborne is taking time out from his leaving cert to come on for Robbie Clarke after 73 mins

2107: Shane Barrett is being introduced for Brian King, King although he hasn't done a lot wrong is constantly being surrounded by Rovers players and could be hassled into a reaction

2101: Shamrock Rovers keeper is down injured. They have no sub keeper. Hmmm.. will he be able to carry on? In what was a 50/50 ball the keeper rose highest to head over the advancing Jamie Duffy, but as you would expect both players went down, Murphy is now back on his feet, but looks to be hobbling

2059: A high hanging ball by Corey Tracey forces Skinner to punch over his own cross bar to concede the corner, It's all Rovers at the minute

If you have any comments on the site or the action tonight, email the team on extratimelive@gmail.com

2057: Double substitution for Sligo - Jason Noctor and Sean Doherty on for Steve Feeney and Brian Cash.......Alan Keane moved into centre half alongside Danny Ventre.

2053: Drogheda seem a little shaky at the beginning of the 2nd half

2052: Sligo hit the post - Sumptious cross from Romauld Boco on the right and Raf Cretaro is unlucky to hit the outside of the post with a stretching volley.

2049: We are back in action in Sligo now.

2047: Game on in Drogheda. In Sligo Alan Dooley just bagged the last of the Kit Kat Chunky bars......Fox's Creams Biscuits as well. Pampered. I am here drinking a pint of water and some dry bread.

2044: GOAL FOR MONAGHAN - 41 mins - Barry Clancy
Cherry Orchard's cup dream is all but vanished for this year. 4-0 now.

2032: Half time in Sligo now as the teams go in 1-1. In drogheda, it is also now half time - 0-1 !!

2030: Robbie Clarke lucky to stay on the pitch as Gary Twigg is put through and Clarke seemed to take him down and being the last man he was lucky to stay on the pitch

2029: GOAL FOR SLIGO ROVERS - 41 mins - Raf Cretaro
Raf Cretaro who else.......a ball through from Owen Morrison through the inside right channel and Cretaro drilled low under Dan Connor with his first touch from 12 yards.

2027: Amazing let off for Sligo - Cork break way with a 4-on-2...Colin Healy plays in Shane Duggan whose trickles through Brush's legs.....Duggan looks to have a tap in but Danny Ventre appears from nowhere to slide across and clear.

2023: GOAL FOR MONAGHAN - 22 mins - Barry Clancy
It's raining in Sligo, but in Monaghan it's raining goals, number three for the Mons.

2022: CORK HIT THE POST - Silagailis ball to back post from the right. Timmy Kiely flying in but couldn't find the net, the ball coming back off the left post and Steve Feeney cleared. Cork two efforts on goal - One goal and one off post.

Some fisty cuffs here at United Park, Murphy takes the ball and King runs into him and some theatrics by the sub keeper leads to retaliation by Dessie Baker which goes unnoticed and King receives a yellow card

2020: The rain is lashing down in Sligo now. One of the corner flags lost a couple of inches after an incident in the corner

2005: GOAL FOR MONAGHAN - 16 mins - Cathal O'Connor
More woe for Orchard as Monaghan double their lead. Looking bleak for the Dublin side.

Email us at extratimelive@gmail.com with any comments

2015: GOAL FOR SHAMROCK ROVERS - 28 mins - Dessie Baker
Shamrock Rovers take the lead!! A series of hard tackles leads to Tadgh Purcell getting the ball on the right wing and crossing beautifully for Dessie Baker to drift into the box and head past Skinner

Alan Dooley, Showgrounds, updating "Nothing of note to report here. Sligo struggling to get going whilst Cork are nipping in with some good tackles in midfield and breaking up their rhythm. O'Halloran just got in to deny Cretaro a shot. Cretaro been at heart of everything dangerous for Sligo."

2012: In Drogheda, great interplay between Chambers and Duffy and a ball hit across the goal is almost deflected in.

2008: Great save by Skinner, Ian Bermingham on the edge of the box smacks the ball low and Skinner gets down and deflects the ball over the bar.

Alan Dooley, Showgrounds, reporting Paul Cook appealing about Cork slowing down the game at throw ins and kick outs already. No wonder the man is always hoarse

2005: GOAL FOR MONAGHAN - 3 mins - Sean Brennan
Bad news for Cherry Orchard. Monaghan have taken an early lead after only 3 minutes.

2003: Elbettor in the Comments below informs me that Dundalk are leading Distillery after a few minutes in their friendly clash. Meanwhile back to their Louth neighbours, an individual run by Jamie Duffy has the Rovers defence backtracking and the striker goes to the byline where he tries to pull back for Gavin Whelan but the ball is deflected wide for a corner

2002: Rovers first chance, Dessie Baker slips a ball through to the goalscorer last week Sean O'Connor, but a last minute tackle by the back tracking James Chambers brings O'Connor down and a claim for a penalty is waved away by the ref. Drogheda immediately go down field and shoot just over. Rovers beginning to come to life, but Gary Twigg is nowhere to be seen

2001: Monaghan United get underway against Cherry Orchard. In Drogheda, there is an estimated crowd of 1000, and another estimate of 1500 in Sligo. Both reporter guesstimates. Official attendances when we get them.

2000: Cork are set up to defend 1-0 leads and pick teams off so this could be a long night for Sligo.

1957: Gavin Whelan set up by a ricocheted clearance and the midfielder snaps his shot wide, that's two shots for Drogheda none so far for Rovers

1955: Alan Dooley has informed me that the Longford game is changed because of problem with Longford's floodlights possibly.

1953: GOAL FOR CORK - 5 mins - Guntars Silagailis
Cork's first corner played short to Danny Murphy on corner of box....clipped in a ball which seemed to evade everybody and went in at the near post but Silagailis celebrated as if he got a touch so maybe......he's being credited with it anyway.

1951: First shot in Drogheda, Chambers picking the ball up 25 yards out, the Rovers defence seemed to part and Chambers decided to have a crack, but his shot just over, it's all Drogheda in the opening minutes

1949: Paul Shiels is playing with a broken nose, after the challenge by Pat Flynn last week. 4-5-1 for Drogheda once again, Jamie Duffy playing the lone striker. Rovers are in a 4-4-2 formation.

1948: Sligo have bossed the opening two minutes. Cork playing into a stiff breeze. Adamski below has asked why the Wexford game is kicking off at 6pm, and I don't have an answer. Maybe the Youths have to be home early on a school night?

1947: Underway in Sligo. Looking like two 4-5-1 formations battling it out. Boco dropping in for Sligo. In Drogheda, former Drog Shane Robinson got a little confused as he made his way to the home dugout....before some fans put him politely put him straight. Game on in Drogheda.

1945: Teams are out in Drogheda.

1943: Robert Duggan is a late withdrawal from the Shamrock Rovers team. He apparently was injured in warm up. Barry Murphy is in, so Rovers are without a sub keeper. Teams are coming out in Sligo.

1937: All the line ups for tonight's games are in. We are all set. Tea and biscuits ready.

Alan Dooley, The Showgrounds, reporting "Quite a few Dan or Dannys on the pitch tonight. Five in all. Five triallists for Sligo were out warming up before the game. They need them with only 4 out of a possible 7 subs."

1932: The wonderful Julie Ann has provided me with team line ups for the Monaghan encounter. The Orchard team is posted here. The Mons will be via the link above.

Cherry Orchard: Hughes, Greaves, Sullivan, Donoghue, P McNevin, Treacy, Dillon, Maher, A McNevin, Sheppard, Cochrane. Subs: Shields, Murphy, Clare, Barry, Coughlan, McCarthy.

1929: Brian in the Comments below has gone 100% against me. He believes no home side will win in normal time. Not even Mons?

1927: PJ Murray in Drogheda tells me there seems to be more Rovers fans than Drogs at present. I'm sure that will even out as the game drawwws near.

Yes Declan, you can't beat a Cup Evening. My favourite Cup memory is a League Cup one, the final in Tolka Park against Sligo Rovers, maybe in 1998, where Shels eventually won. Great game, great atmosphere.

Declan, Sligo, in our Extratime mailbox "Its been drizzling for the last hour. Peers and Holmes are out - Sligo will be very short at the back but O'Grady is back. A good crowd assembling . You cant beat a cup evening"

1921: Teams available now in both the Drogheda and Sligo games. In Sligo, Gavin Peers and Shaun Holmes out of the Sligo side from Friday.

1903: Alan Dooley is in position in the tightly packed Rovers press area, and he tells me "the skies are looking grey, looks like a good chance of showers. The teams are doing a gentle warm up on the pitch at present."

1840: Aloha from my seat in Extratime Central command. I'll be guiding you through the drama of the Cup this evening. We are a little over an hour away from kick-off. Predictions? Well I am being very controversial and going with three home wins!! Yes, I am predicting a Drogheda win. Shocking really, but I have to go with them once this season.

Extratime will be bringing you all the action in tonight's Cup replays. We will start coverage at 19:00 and follow all the games until the final whistle. Three games are down for decision tonight. Thoughout the night you can get in touch with us by emailing extratimelive@gmail.com. We welcome all comments.

Last night, Shelbourne crashed out of the Cup against LSL side Crumlin. Can Cherry Orchard "do a Crumlin" on Monaghan United later on? Who will win in the other two all Premier Division clashes? Will Sligo have more than two subs? Email me with your thoughts?
