JD Welsh Premiership Round-up - TNS return to the summit as Met slip up
It's been two weeks since we last took a look at the Welsh Premier League here on extratime.ie and not much has changed at the top or bottom of the table.
At the bottom Carmarthen continue their woeful form having lost twice on the trot at home. On the 11th of November they lost 0-2 to Newtown and this week Prestatyn beat them 0-3.
Their nearest rivals Aberystwyth Town, despite being eight points above them, couldn't do any better. Bangor got the better of The Seasiders at home, winning 3-2 in a thriller before Aberystwyth fell again this time at home to Bala, 2-1.
Only two points separate the top four of the New Saints, Cardiff Metropolitan University, Connah's Quay Nomads and Bangor.
Bangor are in fourth on 27 points having beaten the Nomads on Friday night in this weekend's big clash. The previous weekend the Nomads drew 1-1 with Bala.
In second are Cardiff Met. The Students won comfortably in Prestatyn - 0-2 - before being held to a scrappy draw today at home to Cefn Druids. Having dominated the opening 20 minutes Met were undone by a sucker punch before drawing level through top scorer Adam Roscrow on the stroke of half time.
A terrible tackle by defender Joel Edwards saw him take and early bath and Cefn dug in for the draw. Met will see that as two points dropped because the New Saints won 1-0 in Llandudno on Saturday to return to top of the league with a game in hand.
TNS's game in hand comes from the previous weekend when they beat Queen of the South in the Scottish Challenge Cup to move into the semi-finals. An even game went down to penalties.
Goalkeeper Paul Harrison stepped up to put TNS 4-3 up as the shoot-out went into sudden death penalties, then going on to save the Doonhamer's next penalty to win the tie.
PAUL HARRISON!

They will face Dumbarton at home in the semi-finals.
Llandudno's outing prior to their defeat to The New Saints this weekend was a 2-0 defeat in Barry. Barry's inconsistency will probably be their downfall this season as they were defeated at Newtown 3-0 this weekend.
The average attendance across five games this weekend in the Welsh Premier League was 366. (There was no figure for Connah's Quay v Bangor).
