Fanastic Paul McGrath street art unveiled outside Richmond Park
Street art has long been an underappreciated phenomenon in the League of Ireland.
The murals on the walls outside Dalymount Park are brilliant but haven't gotten the attention they've deserved despite rivalling anything we have in this city.
The latest effort on Emmett Road outside Richmond Park will hopefully set right that particular wrong.
Many of us have seen the R2D2 mural on power boxes on Camden Street, but this tribute to the original 'Black Pearl of Inchicore' rings a little bit more true for us league afficionados.
We don't know who's responsible for the art but credit to Pats fan Donal Burke for bringing it to our attention.
If anybody knows who's responsible for this wonderful tribute to an Irish football legend, please let us know and we'll give them full credit.
For now, we'll just wonder in a well-deserved tribute to arguably the League of Ireland's best-ever export and a great ambassador for Irish sport.
