Stephen Walsh's Betting Column (June 23 2017)
Yes, I know having one win in 19 is absolutely horrendous so far this season, so I am going to save you the time of reading my usual big long spiel as so far it has amounted to nothing more than glorified waffle.
Sophia Housing Agency is the charity we are hoping to win the money for with Paddy Power again enhancing and sponsoring the bet.
Last week it was all looking perfect up until the 60th minute where Shelbourne decided to play one of their best halves of ball this season to defeat UCD.
This weekend we are backing Dundalk, Limerick and Waterford.
Dundalk are 1/6 to get the three points and barring a seismic collapse which is unlikely to happen, this will be part one of the treble completed.
Next up on the Friday is probably the biggest boggy game of the weekend when we will be backing Waterford to get the three points against UCD.
UCD will want to get back on the promotion trail after losing to Shelbourne last week but Waterford are a team on the up who will be playing premier division football next March.
Lastly we will have our third game on the Saturday. Pat’s unless they improve hugely will be in the first division next year and they will face a Limerick side who are fighting for their places.
They know that many of them could be out of the team in the coming months as it likely that new manager Neil McDonald will bring in a few players that will improve the competition in the team.
Bets:
Dundalk 1/6
Limerick 11/10
Waterford 1/1
4.3/1 generally
Bet enhanced: 5/1
