Premier Division:
Galway United 0-3 Derry City - Preview - Lineups

First Division:
U.C.D 0-1 Sporting Fingal - Preview - Lineups

21:37: Over in Galway - report to follow. Over in UCD. Sporting win!!!

21:35: The two games are now in injury time.

21:25: One sour note for Stephen Kenny is on the injury front,,,with Kearney already off early, Higgins also went off injured. He was replaced by Barry Molloy who has also now picked up a knock which looked the most serious of the three. 10 minutes left

21:21: In Galway, A rare foray forward from the home side here...O'Shea shot deflected away for a corner. Fat lady has just finished her second encore here. Not a pretty sight for local fans.

21:17: GOAL SPORTING FINGAL Sporting Fingal are after taking the lead away to UCD after 73 minutes. Conan Byrne is the scorer!!! Byren picked up a loose UCD ball 25 yards out, took a touch and finished neatly. Ward is now on for Reilly (75 minutes)

21:13: Evan McMillan has a header off the cross bar after Reilly had retrieved a free kick that cleared everybody. Then Sporting's Williams headed over from a great position, with Conan Byren providing the cross. McFaul is now off injured with Whelan on the pitch.

21:09: GOAL DERRY CITY Derry city make it 3-0 through David Scullion on 64 minutes - another first as David Scullion gets his first Derry goal with a neat flick from close range after good work from McGlynn on the right flank.

21:03: Cannon clears off the line from Boyle's effort after Sporting fail to clear a poor UCD corner.

20:58: Zayed right footed effort wide from just inside the box. In Galway, Controversial penalty given for handball against Michael McGrath on right edge of box. Was debatable hand ball and McGrath looked to be outside the area. Given by linesman.

20:56: GOAL DERRY CITY 49 - mistake by McKenna. Farren tried to get shot away but was half blocked....Morrow shot saved by Ryan for corner. PENO FOR DERRY. Morrow scores again on 51 minutes.

20:52: Kearney goes down again and obviously hasn't been able to shrug off his first half knock. David Scullion is on in his place.

20:51: The Action is underway again in both games. Purcell and McMahon on for D McMillan and Mulhall.

20:36: Alan Dooley in Galway: Half time here....strong words needed from Ian Foster but he hasn't really any options to change things drastically at half time. Compare that to Stephen Kenny who has Barry Molloy, Ciaran Martyn, David Scullion and Tam McManus itching to get on.

Half time in UCD too.

20:33: Derry physio getting a bit of exercise in the last few minutes....on again to give Liam Kearney some treatment. One minute of injury time.

20:27: 38 mins - big chance for Galway to get level. Ball broke for O'Brien on edge of box but, from a position similar to the one from which he scored against St Pat's, he could only scuff a shot that was no trouble to Ger Doherty and his illuminous yellow kit. Steven Gray booked for a trip on Jay O'Shea.

20:25: Only a good save from Brennan denied Conan Byren from giving Sporting the lead on 38 minutes. Eamonn Zayed the creator.

20:23: GOAL DERRY CITY Derry City have taken the lead in Terryland Park. Sammy Morrow on 35 minutes. McGrath gives the ball away in midfield chepaly and Kevin Deery finds Farren who burrows past Guthrie before squaring for Morrow to sidefoot in from close range. Morrow's first goal of the season.

20:19: Ball in net but no goal for Derry as Clive Delaney's volley is ruled out for some infrigement in the box as Liam Kearney's corner was swung in. Corner count - Derry 4 -1 Galway

20:14: McFaul gets a yellow for hand ball on the edge of the box but could so easily have been a red as Kilduff had a scoring chance

20:13: 24 minutes - How Sammy Morrow hasn't opened the scoring I don't know.....Eddie McCallion gets forward from right back and floats a cross on the strikers head, but Morrow can only head wide from no more than six yards out. Woeful miss. Did I mention Morrow was heading unchallenged, hardly had to jump for it either

20:11: Bayly should have been booked for a two footed tackle in the centre circle. Then UCD had a peno appeal when Kilduff went to ground under a challenge from Quigley

20:09: Galway dealing a bit better with Derry's movement but the Northerners still look the more likely to open the scoring and have just won their first corner.

20:07: In Belfield, UCD have gotten a couple of free kicks around the box. Nothing has come from them though. Shortall has had a header go over the bar.

20:05: So 20 minutes in and no goals to report from either game. All quiet in UCD.

19:59: Derry pressing hard....Galway really under pressure

19:56: Dave Cooke was the player that hit the post by the way.

19:55: Big chance for Derry......McGlynn gets away down the right...crosses for Farren who can't get decisive touch....Kearney retrieves and puts ball on Morrow's foot for a volley that Ryan has to save well with his feet.

19:52: Galway 4-5-1 with O'Brien and O'Shea out wide.....Derry 4-4-2 with Farren and Morrow up front.

19:51: 2 minutes cross cum shot from left hand side loops over Ger Doherty and hits inside of far post and somehow is cleared.....big let off for Derry

19:48: Game on at both venues. Crowd far from massive in Galway also, less than 800 there at a guess, which would make you wonder the point of moving the games from Friday. But nevertheless the games are underway regardless of the poor attendances.

19:44: I have been informed there is less than 80 people at the UCD game. Surely that must be wrong. Fine evening, no Ireland match in sight....

19:40: Five minutes till kick off. Predictions? Comment below.

19:33: Liam McKenna miakes his first League start of the season at centre half for Galway and Derry are without Thomas Stewart. Gareth McGlynn and Clive Delaney back from long-term injuries.

19:27: Teams from both games now locked and loaded. All we await now is for the men in black to kick off proceedings!!!

19:23: We have teams all in from UCD. An email in from a Shels fan tonight hoping the game ends in a draw. We shall see!!

19:01: Big promotional push in Galway to try and get people up to this game tonight. The weather is good so it will be interesting to see whether the average of about 1200 can be surpassed tonight.

19:00: Almost forgot, if you wish to mail into us for any reason, you can do so through extratimelive@gmail.com.

18:55: I'm ready and set now, with a box of Cadbury Mini Rolls and a tumbler of tea. Whilst you wait for the action to commence, be sure and check out our newest column written by a player in action tonight, Conan Byrne, who will be writing fortnightly for Extratime. Click here to read "A Sporting View".

18:25: Alan Dooley is reporting from Terryland without Grace tonight. My mistake. Alan has ventured out onto the pitch and had this to say - "been out for a walk on the pitch and there's an awful lot of sand on the surface. Looks like pitch is not coping too well with hosting both Galway Utd and Mervue Utd, as well as the usual Juvenile and Junior League Finals the ground hosts at this time of year."

17:55: Hello and welcome to tonight's live updates on extratime.ie with me, Gareth Penrose and the rest of the extratime crew. Only two games down for deciding tonight but hopefully there will be plenty of action. Updates will kick off close to 7pm, and the team lineups will follow. Our previews of the games are available above.

Extratime.ie will be bringing you all the action from the first two games of the week between UCD versus Sporting Fingal and Galway United versus Derry City. The games both kick off at 7:45pm. Alan Dooley abd Grace Uhr will be bringing us all the action from Galway, whilst Bar OSullivan will be monitoring things in UCD.
