Crumlin United will not play their Third Round FAI Ford Cup game in their home ground of Pearse Park, instead they will be giving up home advantage to move the clash to Tolka Park.

The game will be now scheduled for Tuesday, June 9th with a 8pm kick off, four days before the rest of the Cup ties are due to be played.

Talking to Gordon Hunt at the draw in the Burlington Hotel on Monday, Crumlin United manager Martin Loughran spoke on the reasons why the game may be played earlier in the week and why the venue could be changed.

“Whether or not we can play it in our home ground now, I don’t know yet. We are not sure. We would obviously have to get the League of Ireland officials to check the ground to see if it is acceptable. It would depend on the type of support Shelbourne would be able to get, I don’t know,” said Loughran.

“The problem is the date it is down for (13/14th June) we have two lads away on amateur international duty so we are trying to get the game moved forward to the ninth instead,” added Loughran.
