Cork given three-week lifeline
The High Court has today ruled in favour of an application by Cork City Investments FC to defer the ongoing legal case against the club’s holding company so that the figures concerned may be clarified.
The club claims that a settlement was reached when they emerged from examinership in October regarding the club’s outstanding debts. The confusion arises from their disagreement with the Revenue Commissioners figure of 300,000 Euro and their citing of the aforementioned settlement. The case will be heard again on the 15th of June.
The club are hopeful the issue will be resolved in the coming weeks and manager Paul Doolin will be hoping that off the field matters don’t infringe on his preparation for Friday’s top of the table clash with Bohemians at Turner’s Cross. The Leesiders have started the season in excellent form and currently sit top of the League of Ireland Premier Division.
