EA SPORTS Cup First Round fixtures set
The eight EA SPORTS Cup first round matches will all be played on Tuesday March 21.
The reigning holders St. Patrick's Athletic will host Bluebell United, while Athlone Town will meet Longford Town. Bohemians will welcome Cabinteely at Dalymount Park.
The two ‘newest’ clubs in the league will take on one another as near-neighbours Wexford take Waterford at Ferrycarrig Park.
The competition is split into four pools with a number of clubs receiving byes into the second round – including all the clubs set to play in Europe later in the year (i.e. Dundalk, Cork City, Derry City and Shamrock Rovers).
Of the two League of Ireland clubs set to play in the IRN-BRU Cup, only Sligo Rovers get an early EA SPORTS Cup bye while Bray Wanderers must travel to take on Drogheda United.
All the first round ties will be decided on the night with extratime and penalties to be played if required.
