Meenan and Shelbourne part company

Darren Meenan and Shelbourne have parted company, six months after the player signed for the Dublin club. Meenan had signed for the Reds from current First Division leaders UCD after the Students were relegated last season.
The Dublin born midfielder has rarely featured in the Shelbourne team this season, and a spokesperson for club confirmed today that the player had been released by mutual consent for personal reasons.
Meenan began his playing career at St. Joseph’s Boy club in Dublin before moving to Finn Harps in 2006. He has since played for Monaghan United and UCD.
