Wilson and Doolan sign for Wexford Youths Women

Wexford Youths women have today confirmed the addition of Amy Wilson and Siobhan Doolan to their squad ahead of the start of the 2017 Continental Tyres Women’s National League season.

The duo are the first signings new Youths manager Laura Heffernan has made since taking over as manager at the start of January.

Former Gorey Ranger’s player Wilson signs from St Joseph’s AFC in Dublin and has played at all age levels for the Wexford Gaynor Cup Squad. She is a versatile attacker and can play on the wing or as a striker.

Doolan joins from Curracloe United having made her way up through the club’s youth system to the first team. The 17-year-old has played a huge part in the Wexford League Gaynor Cup squad in the past few seasons as well as represented the Wexford Women’s Gaelic Footballers several times.

“Siobhan can play as both a midfielder or an attacker and will be a fantastic asset too this year’s squad.” Said manager Laura Heffernan.

Wexford Youths Women begin their season on the 25th of March against Galway WFC at Ferrycarrig Park.
