Jake Kelly one of three to sign with Longford for 2017 season

Longford Town’s preparations for the 2017 First Division season continue as manager Alan Mathews completed the signing of Jake Kelly, Daniel O'Reilly and Kealan Dillon.

Kelly joins from Bohemians having previously seen SSE Airtricity League service with Bray Wanderers, St. Patrick’s Athletic and Dundalk.

Kelly made his debut aged 18 for Bray Wanderers in 2008 and spent two separate spells at the Carlisle Grounds either side of a yeat at Pats.

While at Inchicore, Kelly appeared in the 2012 FAI Cup final loss to Derry City but earned a Premier League winners medal the following season, contributing four goals from midfield.

After his second stint at Bray, he switched to Oriel Park where he had made a number of appearances off the bench early in Dundalk’s run to a second successive Premier Division championship in 2015.

Most recently, Kelly played for Bohemians for whom he scored eight goals in two seasons.

Longford welcome defender O’Reilly back from Vanarama National League Eastbourne Borough.

O’Reilly links up with Mathews for the second time, having previously briefly played for the now-Longford boss at Bray Wanderers in 2015.

The 21-year-old full-back represented Cherry Orchard in underage football and has had spells at Fulham's successful youth side, Walton Casuals, Hereford United and Bishop's Stortford.

O’Reilly was at Longford for the early part of last season, making eight appearances, including two as substitute, before moving back to England.

A product of Dublin scholboy nursery Belvedere, Dillon formerly played for Hull City and St. Mirren before joining Athlone Town in 2013.

Dillon played all but one League game for Athlone during the 2013 season before signing for Bohemians in advance of the 2014 season.

The 22-year-old Meath native switched to Longford Town in November 2015. Dillon made 31 Premier Division appearances for the Town in 2016.
