Two more re-sign with Seagulls

Bray Wanderers have announced the re-signings of midfielders John Sullivan and Mark Salmon for the 2017 season.

Sullivan began the 2016 season at Galway United, making 15 appearances, scoring once in a 3-1 victory over St. Patrick's Athletic on the opening day of the season.

Sullivan, who has also played for Limerick, Shelbourne, Drogheda and Dundalk, then left Galway in June, signing back with Bray Wanderers, where he had also played for the second half of the 2015 season. Sullivan went on to make 14 appearances for Bray in 2016, scoring on the last day of the season in a 4-1 victory over Cork City.

Salmon moved to Bray Wanderers in November of 2015, following a six-year spell at Longford Town. Before that, the midfielder had spent half a season at both Drogheda United and Athlone Town in 2009 following his release from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Salmon made 32 appearances for Bray in the 2016, with all three of his goals coming in the league. His first came in a 3-1 defeat to Dundalk on the opening day of the season before he again scored against the league champions in a 2-1 victory for Bray in August. Salmon's final goal of the season came in September as he netted the Bray opener in a 3-1 win away to Wexford Youths.

The announcement by the Seagulls means that they have now re-signed seven players in the last two days. The return for 2017 for defensive duo Conor Kenna and Tim Clancy was announced on Wednesday before Alan Kehoe, Jason Marks and Ger Pender were announced earlier this afternoon.
