Coll and Harkin re-sign with Harps
Two loyal Finn Harps stalwarts have given the Ballybofey club a boost by signing on for the 2017 season.
Defender Ciaran Coll and midfielder Gareth Harkin have agreed to be part of Ollie Horgan’s plans for 2017. The pair boast over 300 Harps appearances between them. Both players were key members of Harps’ promotion winning side in 2015.
Ciaran Coll’s career with the Harps has seen him make 191 starts and 12 substitute appearances. He has scored three goals. Coll started and completed 29 league games for Harps in 2016. He also played once in the FAI Cup. The 25-year-old former Hearts player has been with Finn Harps since 2009.
Gareth Harkin meanwhile has contributed six goals during his two spells at Finn Park in which he has amassed a total of 103 appearances (including nine as substitute). Last season he played in 25 of Harps’ league games and three times in the Cup.
"I am very pleased Ciaran and Gareth have signed on for next season as they have both lads have given great service to the club in recent years," said Harps manager Ollie Horgan.
“The step up to premier division last year was something of a learning curve and next year could be even tougher, but these signings have got our pre-season off to a positive start."
